5月18日から21日まで，英ノッティンガムトレント大学のMachado, Pedro博士とIhianle, Isibo博士が，本究室へ訪問し，共同研究を進めました．共同研究は本研究室で行われている「脳型情報処理回路（SAM Spiking Neural Network）によるロボットハンド制御の研究」であり，AIデバイスを用いた知的筋電義手へと繋がるものです．2名の研究者は研究だけでなく，本研究室学生との交流を行い，また，本科5年生，専攻科生へ，イギリスやナイジェリアでの実践プロジェクトについての講演も行って頂きました．学生たちは各々に感銘を受け，改めて本校で学んでいるエンジニアリングが世界と繋がっていることを再認識することができました．

From May 18 to 21, Dr. Pedro Machado and Dr. Isibo Ihianle from Nottingham Trent University in the UK visited this laboratory to advance collaborative research. The joint research focuses on robot hand control using a brain-inspired information processing circuit (SAM Spiking Neural Network), which is expected to contribute to the development of intelligent myoelectric prosthetic hands using AI devices. During their visit, the two researchers not only engaged in collaborative research but also interacted with students in the lab. They also delivered lectures to fifth-year undergraduate and advanced course students, introducing practical projects conducted in the UK and Nigeria. The students were deeply inspired by the exchange and gained a renewed awareness of how the engineering they are studying is connected to the wider world.
