The joint research focuses on robot hand control using a brain-inspired information processing circuit (SAM Spiking Neural Network), which is expected to contribute to the development of intelligent myoelectric prosthetic hands using AI devices. During their visit, the two researchers not only engaged in collaborative research but also interacted with students in the lab. They also delivered lectures to fifth-year undergraduate and advanced course students, introducing practical projects conducted in the UK and Nigeria. The students were deeply inspired by the exchange and gained a renewed awareness of how the engineering they are studying is connected to the wider world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The present joint research was supported by the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation.
